"THOUGHTFUL HOMES,

MADE PERSONAL"

At Homestead Design Co., our story begins with a dream—to step away from the ordinary, move toward a quieter life, and build a home that truly reflected how we wanted to live.

But when the time came, we found ourselves facing a choice that didn’t feel right. The options available were either generic, one-size-fits-all designs that lacked personality—or high-end firms that were simply out of reach. There was little in between.

That experience shaped everything we do today.

Homestead Design Co. was created to bridge that gap—to offer thoughtful, well-designed homes that feel personal, intentional, and beautifully livable without losing sight of practicality.

We believe every home should reflect the people who live in it. That’s why our process starts with understanding your lifestyle, your vision, and what “home” truly means to you. From there, we design with care—balancing warmth, simplicity, and modern refinement in every detail.

Whether you’re building from the ground up or reimagining an existing space, our goal is the same: to create spaces that feel comfortable, timeless, and uniquely yours.

At Homestead Design Co., we’re here to make thoughtful design more accessible—so you never have to settle for a home that doesn’t feel like home.

"New home construction

costs in Florida range from $150-$280"

Building a home is one of the most meaningful investments you’ll ever make—but it’s also one of the most complex. In today’s market, the average cost to build a new home in the U.S. exceeds $400,000, with construction alone accounting for more than 60% of the total home price.

On a smaller scale, costs typically range around $150–$170+ per square foot nationally, with significant variation depending on location, materials, and level of detail.

Beyond cost, the process itself can be overwhelming. Building a home requires navigating permits, regulations, timelines, and an ever-changing construction landscape. Ongoing challenges, like labor shortages—where up to 90% of builders report difficulty finding skilled trades such as carpenters and framing crews—can directly impact both timelines and overall project costs.

We understand that behind these numbers are real decisions, real stress, and a vision that matters to you.

At Homestead Design Co., we believe thoughtful design simplifies that process. By approaching each project with clarity and intention from the very beginning, we help guide you through the complexity—so your home is not only well-designed, but well-planned.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about building a house—it’s about creating a home that feels right, functions beautifully, and stands the test of time.

our story

"HOMES THAT GROW WITH YOU"

Our journey began with a simple but meaningful goal—to build a home that truly reflected the way we wanted to live. A home that felt intentional, comfortable, and personal.

At the same time, our lives were changing in the most important way. As our family grew with the birth of our two daughters, our vision for “home” became even clearer. It wasn’t just about creating a beautiful space—it was about designing a place where memories would be made, routines would unfold, and everyday life would feel grounded and meaningful.

Like many homeowners, we started by exploring the traditional path—working with builders and design firms—only to find ourselves facing a difficult choice. The available options were often limited to generic, one-size-fits-all layouts that lacked character and flexibility, or fully custom services that came with a price point far beyond what felt reasonable. There was very little in between.

That experience became a turning point. Instead of settling for a design that didn’t feel like ours, we decided to take a more hands-on approach—designing and managing our own home from the ground up. What started as a personal project quickly became something much more meaningful.

Throughout the process, we gained a deep understanding of what it truly takes to bring a home to life. From navigating design decisions and material selections to balancing budget, function, and aesthetics, every step revealed just how important thoughtful planning and intentional design really are. We experienced firsthand the challenges homeowners face—but also the reward of seeing a vision come together in a way that felt right for our family.

More importantly, we realized something was missing in the industry: a thoughtful, design-driven approach that is both personal and accessible—one that doesn’t require homeowners to choose between affordability and individuality.

Homestead Design Co. was created to fill that gap.

Our approach is rooted in the belief that every home should feel like it belongs to the people who live in it. We take the time to understand how you live, what matters most, and what you want your home to feel like—designing spaces that are not only beautiful, but comfortable, functional, and enduring.

Whether you’re building from the ground up or reimagining an existing space, we guide the process with clarity and intention. Every detail is carefully considered, ensuring that the final result feels cohesive, livable, and uniquely yours.

At its core, Homestead Design Co. is about more than design—it’s about creating homes with meaning. Homes that grow with you, support your lifestyle, and feel just right for every stage of life. Because creating a home isn’t just about building something new—it’s about creating a place where life happens, and where you truly belong.
